A Hot and Wild Christmas
You might have thought that my second ‘hostel christmas’ would be similar to my first, but it couldn’t have been more different. The cold historic beauty of Prague was replaced by the heat and elegance of Sydney, midnight mass with candles at an ancient Czech church replaced by an evening party cruise on Sydney harbour and gallons of beer. On christmas day Miranda and Canadian John managed to produce a full turkey dinner for over 70 people, and on boxing day the pub treasure hunt around Sydney in the searing southern sun was a legendary recipe for sore heads and sore wallets.
